We take pride in our long and distinguished history with the U.S. armed forces, and we thank those who serve and have served our nation.
Helping active duty and former service members pursue a legal education has long been a priority for California Western.
After World War 2, Dean Dwight Stanford spent $100,000 of his own money (and that was a lot back then!) to help returning GIs pay their tuition while waiting for veterans benefits to kick in. Our commitment to helping students continues today as we match military students with eligible benefits.
We’ve educated the nation’s top military lawyers. In the early 2000s, the top JAGs for the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps were California Western graduates.
Today, our flexible trimester system and full and part-time enrollment options allow active duty and reserve members of the military and their spouses the chance to pursue a legal education while serving their country.
