SCOPE: This research guide is not all-inclusive. It does, however, present resources available at the California Western library and online regarding medical malpractice. It is designed to provide the researcher with guidance as to the location of materials dealing with this subject. Additional research can be conducted by using the KIM system, legal periodical indices, and other finding aids. Access to licensed databases is limited to students and faculty at California Western. Among the features of this site is the "Check on Doctor" link. This link allows the user to search by doctor name or license number for the license status of the doctor as well as certain hospital disciplinary reports, medical malpractice judgments, and arbitration awards which might be issued against the doctor.
