Visiting Assistant Professor Jessica Eaglin

Jessica Eaglin is a graduate of Duke University School of Law, where she served as a Staff Editor for the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy.  Simultaneously, she obtained her M.A. in Literature from Duke University.  After law school, she joined the litigation department of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York City, primarily focusing on antitrust law and white collar crime.  Prior to joining the teaching fellows program, she clerked for the Honorable Damon J. Keith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. 

Her research and scholarship interests lie at the intersection of civil rights, critical race theory, education and sentencing disparities in the United States.

Yana Welinder joined California Western School of Law in August 2012.  Prior to that, she was a Summer Academic Fellow at Harvard Law School and a Google Policy Fellow at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Her scholarship focuses on information privacy, Internet law, and law and technology.

Professor Welinder earned an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School, where her studies and research focused on Internet and information law. Before that, she practiced litigation and public law for several years. She is also a graduate of the London School of Economics and the University of Southern California, where she competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court.
