Professor Slotkin joined the California Western faculty in January 1988. Prior to becoming director of the LL.M./M.C.L. Program for Foreign Lawyers in 1998, she served as director of the Legal Skills Program and as a Legal Skills professor. She developed California Western's Academic Support Program for entering diversity students. Her doctoral research was a cross-cultural study of role conflict experienced by college-educated women. After graduating from law school, Slotkin specialized in civil litigation and immigration law before returning to teaching. When she is not teaching and recruiting students for the graduate program, she is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and community volunteer.
