Sample Aid Packages
2012-2013 Award Year
The following information has been prepared in order to provide an idea of the types and amounts of aid a typical new student can receive. NOTE: This information is intended solely to familiarize you with the types of aid for which a first-year student would typically be eligible to apply. It is neither an offer of aid nor a declaration of eligibility for any specific student. Eligibility for the types and amounts of aid described in this document is contingent upon the student's citizenship, prior student loan history, Selective Service status, and other factors relevant to the awarding of Title IV aid, including the information from your 2012-2013 FAFSA. The charts below show the types and amounts of aid most commonly offered to first-year Juris Doctor students for their first two terms.

* Subject to a student's eligibility for federal student aid. Effective July 1, 2012, graduate students are no longer eligible to receive Subsidized Stafford Loans; however, the full $20,500 is still available through Unsubsidized Stafford Loans.
** Federal Graduate PLUS Loans are subject to credit approval as well as federal student loan eligibility requirements.
***The maximum amount of aid is smaller for students who receive no Graduate PLUS loans, as an adjustment is included in the budgets of students who borrow Graduate PLUS which is intended to offset the loan fees charged on the Graduate PLUS.
Some students will receive other funds than those listed; in such cases those funds will typically replace PLUS loans, then Federal Stafford Loans, on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
