Creative Problem Solving

The Creative Problem Solving area of concentration is designed to help you acquire the needed skills that demand broader and deeper understanding of people, their problems, and the consequences of confronting those problems only in narrow, legalistic ways. The core courses are Problem Solving & Preventive Law; Problem Solving Skills & Theory; and Cross-Cultural Problem Identification.  Elective courses include STEPPS; Advanced Mediation; Alternative Dispute Resolution; Business Planning: Representing Modest Business Enterprises; Community Organizing and Problem Solving; Current Issues in Constitutional Law; Entertainment Law; Health Law & Policy;  Interviewing, Counseling, and Planning; Jurisprudence: Selected Topics; Land Use Regulation; Law, Medicine & Public Policy; Mediation; Negotiation; Problem Solving & Prevention in Health Care; Telecommunications Law; and Women & the Law.
