Area of Concentration in International Law
Study Abroad

California Western alumni are employed in all 50 states and 35 foreign countries. A significant number of distinguished alumni practice international law both in the United States and abroad. California Western alumni pursue diverse careers, including: Legal Advisory in the United Nations; International Tax Attorney for the Monsanto Company; Executive Director of the Human Rights and Constitutional Law Center; and Office of the Attorney General in Pago Pago and Samoa.

In addition, the International Legal Studies Program offers several opportunities for foreign lawyers. The Master of Comparative Laws/Master of Laws in Comparative Law Program (M.C.L./LL.M.) introduces foreign law graduates to the United States legal system and the practice of law in the United States. The Visiting Scholar Program enables foreign legal academics and lawyers to pursue independent research projects in the United States. The Castetter Visiting Foreign Law Professor Program facilitates the teaching of short courses by foreign law professors and enriches the international and multicultural atmosphere at the school.
