History
The J.D./Ph.D. program in History, offered in conjunction with the University of California, San Diego, is an integrated curriculum specifically designed for your interest in advanced and intensive academic coursework in law and history. This interdisciplinary program will train you to gain exceptional competence for a career in academics.

Political Science
The J.D./Ph.D. program in Political Science, which is also offered in conjunction with the University of California, San Diego, is an interdisciplinary curriculum specifically designed for your interest in advanced and intensive academic coursework in law and political science. This rigorous program will train you to gain exceptional competence for practice at the policy level - public administration, public service, or in public interest organizations.

You must complete the requirements for admission and graduation at both institutions in order to receive a dual degree. Degrees are awarded concurrently. Separate applications and fees must be submitted to California Western and UCSD. If admitted to both schools, the admissions committees from both institutions will consider your selection for participation in the program. Admission to either J.D./Ph.D. program is based on your undergraduate GPA, LSAT score, GRE scores, and relevant experience.
