Courtney Miklusak, Esq. • Assistant Dean

Courtney is responsible for all Career Services operations and actively promotes California Western to the legal community to maximize opportunities available to you. Her job is to make sure you have the skills and information necessary to access the opportunities you desire. After graduating from California Western School of Law, Courtney practiced both civil litigation and transactional law in San Diego. She worked in small and medium size private law firms for seven years prior to joining the Career Services Office. Courtney works to develop and strengthen relationships between the Career Services Office and legal employers and to create job opportunities for law students and graduates. As well, she counsels law students, tapping into her strong knowledge of the legal market in San Diego and beyond.

Matthew Lab, Esq. • Assistant Director

Matthew counsels first, second and third year students as well as recent graduates. Matthew works closely with the Director and Assistant Director in implementing the many career development programs offered to students and graduates. Matthew has nine years of private law firm and in-house counsel experience in the areas of business, real estate litigation and transactions. He has served as retained General Counsel for local real estate companies and more recently, he served as in-house counsel for a national real estate investment firm where he also coordinated the law clerk program. In addition to his full time duties with the Career Services Office, he is an adjunct instructor of real estate law with the San Diego Community College District.

Jocelyn Salvatori, Esq. • Assistant Director

Jocelyn counsels first, second and third year students, and conducts training seminars in professional development to ensure that students are knowledgeable about and prepared for the legal market. She also works with students who are interested in pursuing judicial externships and clerkships. Jocelyn has more than seven years of private law firm experience, including representing small and large corporations in business litigation, labor and employment litigation and product defect litigation. She understands what it takes to be successful in the law practice, and is able to greatly enhance students’ marketability.

Jill Blatchley, Esq. • Career Advisor, Pro Bono & Public Service Program Coordinator

Jill regularly counsels students and also coordinates and develops our Pro Bono Program and Public Service Program, through which many students gain their first law clerking experiences while simultaneously making important contributions to our community. Jill has broad legal experience in private law firms, in government agencies and in the courts. As well, she holds a professional certificate in career counseling. Having practiced law in San Diego for more than ten years, and with a strong understanding of the career development process, Jill is a tremendous resource for all students.

Robin counsels students of all levels and assists the Career Services Office with its many programs designed to support students with their career development. Robin is responsible for our Mentor Program which matches second and third year students with practicing lawyers having similar interests. Robin has over twenty years of transactional law experience in San Diego. She practiced for eight years with a large national firm and has also worked with private medium-sized and small law firms. Robin’s broad background provides her with insight into the legal market and how to thrive in a law practice.

Asha Wilbun, Esq. • Graduate Career Advisor

Asha works specifically with third year students and recent graduates to help them target employers and secure post-graduate positions. After graduating from California Western School of Law, Asha practiced Dependency Law in Los Angeles before starting her career as a criminal prosecutor at the San Diego City Attorney's Offices. During her four year career at the City Attorney's Office, Asha developed strong ties in the legal community. Asha aids students in developing their own networking skills and give them tools and strategies needed to make informed active decisions about employment. She has the experience and knowledge to help students define their career goals and equip them with the skills and information necessary for a successful employment search.

Noelle Dorman • Manager of Career Services Projects & Support

Noelle is the Career Services Manager and point person for disseminating information about job opportunities to you. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with her B.A. in Political Science, and she received an M.S. in Child Development from San Diego State. She has worked for elected officials in both the California State Legislature and US Congress on a variety of public policy issues. In addition, she has a well established background in community relations, research, and education. Noelle handles all logistics associated with employer relations, on-campus interviews and regional and national job fairs. She manages our Online Job Database and keeps you apprised of job opportunities as they arise, as well as managing our Career Services operations.
