California Western --
ACCESS    EMPOWERMENT    EXCELLENCE

California Western believes a diversified student body enriches the academic and interpersonal experiences of law school.  The faculty and staff quickly and comfortably welcome each student into the school community, encouraging all students to participate in the numerous academic and social opportunities present at the law school.

Commitment to Diversity
California Western is committed to ethnic and cultural diversity.  Our statement of non-discrimination includes students of color, bisexual, gay, lesbian and transgender students, older students, career changers, military veterans, students from various geographic locations, disabled students and students who have overcome economic, religious or cultural disadvantages and other hardships.

The law school’s faculty, staff and students further diversify the legal profession and provide representation to, and an understanding of, the wide range of communities present in the United States.  The school’s mission is, “to train ethical, competent and compassionate lawyers, representative of our diverse society, who can use the law effectively and creatively.”

The Diversity Services staff works on an ongoing basis to increase the number of diversity students through active recruitment programs.  The office also provides counseling services for academics, financial aid and career decisions.  We also support our students through numerous on-campus programs.
