California Western School of Law proudly participates in the Post-9/11 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.  This program allows degree granting institutions of higher learning in the U.S. to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the Veterans Administration to help fund tuition expenses for eligible veterans. How Yellow Ribbon Works at California Western School of Law:

Applications for the Yellow Ribbon program benefits will be accepted from all admitted and continuing J.D. and Masters Degree candidates. California Western School of Law has established a limit of eight veterans to receive this benefit for the 2012-2013 calendar year. The award will include up to $5,000 from California Western School of Law and up to $5,000 from the Veterans Administration for a total award of up to $10,000 per year. Yellow Ribbon awards must be made on a first-come, first served basis. In order to apply for Yellow Ribbon benefits at California Western School of Law, an applicant must:

• Be admitted to California Western School of Law.
• Be eligible for 100% of the benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill Program.
• Provide a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to the Law School Financial Aid Office.
• Submit the Yellow Ribbon Benefits Request Form to the Law School Financial Aid Office.

The date and time of receipt of the application materials will be recorded and will determine the order of awarding. Students awarded will continue to receive Yellow Ribbon benefits as long as the Law School continues to participate in the program and while the student remains continuously enrolled in the program for which he/she initially received the benefit and complies with all Veterans Administration and California Western School of Law required deadlines and procedures.
