A member of the faculty since 1995, Professor Marion was one of 200 alumnae of William Mitchell to be singled out in "Women of Law: 100 Years of Challenge and Change" for the distinction of opening the nation's first law library of the millennium at California Western School of Law. Active in local and national law library associations, she is currently a member of the American Association of Law Libraries Publications Committee and is a past president of the Minnesota Association of Law Libraries. She is also a member of the San Diego Association of Law Libraries Long-Range Planning Committee.

Marion was formerly the Associate Director and Head of Public Service at William Mitchell College of Law Library, Assistant Director for Bibliographic Control at William Mitchell, Assistant Director and Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Law School Library, and was a law clerk in the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
