How to Join a Traveling Team
A student must compete in an intra-school competition and place with in the top 5. The top 5 students from each of the competitions are then “Distinguished Advocates” and are eligible to
try out for any traveling team. Try outs are broken up into three distinctions, mock trial, moot
court, and negotiation. A distinguished advocate may try out for any traveling teams within
these distinctions. Distinguished Advocates seeking to compete on a mock trial traveling team
must also take the DA Trial Skill class to be eligible.
