At its core, the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) office is a resource for telling the California Western School of Law (CWSL) story across multiple channels. Professional staff provide branding, marketing, outreach communications, media relations, website, and social media strategic direction and execution assistance to law school departments and programs. The office provisions use of the school's official logos and marks and manages the brand image of the organization and its affiliates. MarComm maintains editorial and design oversight over the CWSL website, collateral materials, digital communications, and merchandise that carry the school logo.

The office is also the front door for journalists, the business community, and members of the general public who seek expert commentary, school details, or other related information. MarComm coordinates media requests and faculty interviews as well as all on-campus media filming. It distributes media alerts for professor commentary and assists professors in placing op-eds. The office maintains CWSL's faculty experts directory and tracks faculty appearances in the media.
