Financial Aid Emergency Loan Program

An emergency loan program is available through the Financial Aid Office to assist students in need of a short term loan due to an unanticipated emergency. Typically, loans may not exceed $500 unless the applicant has a verifiable source of repayment, such as pending student loan funds in excess of institutional charges (i.e., tuition and fees).

  • Students in need of an emergency loan must complete an application with the Financial Aid Office describing their need for the loan.
  • Emergency loans are subject to Financial Aid Office approval.
  • This loan must be repaid within 30 days of receipt or as stipulated in the promissory note.
  • For more information, please contact Financial Aid.

Faculty Fund Emergency Loan Program

  • Loan amounts may vary from $500 to $2,000 and are subject to the approval of the Financial Aid and Awards Committee.
  • To apply for the emergency loan, eligible applicants must contact the Director of Financial Aid for a Faculty Fund Emergency Loan Program application.
  • The application will be reviewed by the Director and then submitted to the faculty committee for deliberation.
  • This loan must be repaid within 30 days of receipt or as stipulated in the promissory note.
