Beginning in 2010, private education loan applicants must complete a Private Loan Self-Certification Form as part of the loan application process.
As explained in our description of private education loans, we feel that private education loans should be avoided in favor of federal student loans whenever possible. However, there are cases where students may not be eligible for federal student aid, and in these situations, private loans may be necessary.
The Private Loan Self-Certification Form will ask you for your Cost of Attendance and Estimated Financial Assistance for the period of enrollment covered by the loan. These can be found on the Awards tab of the CWSL Online Aid System, or you can contact the Financial Aid Office for help.
To obtain a form, or to receive assistance in completing the form, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 619-525-7060 or email@example.com.
