From time to time, California Western receives information about various scholarships that are supported by foundations, nonprofit organizations, law firms and networking groups.  Please continue to return to this page as we continuously update the scholarship offers we learn about. 

When you search for alternative scholarship options there are existing tools and resources at your disposal.  The Law School Admissions Council has compiled a helpful list of Diversity Scholarships which provide exciting opportunities for prospective and current law students.

National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms Pipeline Diversity Scholarship

Deadline: June 14, 2019

The National Association of Minority& Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) Pipeline Diversity Scholarship is an annual law school scholarship sponsored by NAMWOLF to provide financial support to students who contribute to the diversity of the law school student body as they pursue their legal career. 

Cunningham & Mears Academic Scholarship

Deadline: June 15, 2019

This scholarship is an annual award presented by the firm to a student who wishes to pursue the study of History or Law.  The successful candidate must be enrolled in or have proof of upcoming enrollment in an accredited college, university or law school for the upcoming academic school year.   

Barry J. Nace "Pursuit of Justice" Scholarship

Deadline: June 30, 2019

This scholarship was created to help encourage students who dream of changing the world every day.  We want to help students interested in pursuing a career in the legal system by offering this scholarship to ease the financial burdens they face in their own pursuit of justice. 

Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo County Scholarship

Deadline: July 1, 2019

Founded in 1981, the Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo County (WLA SLO) assists in the advancement of women in the legal profession and in the community at large.  WLA SLO offers up to $750 in scholarship awards to current law students or students accepted for enrollment in law school with a demonstrated connection to San Luis Obispo County.

Ankin Law Office Scholarship

Deadline: July 15, 2019

Ankin understands the financial challenges students face. To qualify, you must submit your application by the deadline, be enrolled as a full time student as of the Fall 2019 term and provide proof of full-time enrollment if you are selected.  Your application will include an essay addressing the safety of your family by proactively committing to a plan that avoids the occurrence(s) of distracted driving by you and your family members.

Keller Law Scholarship 2019

Keller Law is proud to announce the 4th year of its Annual Scholarship for Higher Education.  We understand that there are a lot of outstanding young people who, without financial assistance, would not be able to go to college.  To help open the door to the world of higher education, Keller Law Offices is offering a $1,000 scholarship to the student who submits the strongest essay in our scholarship application.

Matt Sharp Law Scholarship

Insignia SEO Scholarship

Insignia SEO will be offering an annual $1,000 scholarship to incoming or current college and university students.  Eligible students will write an essay of 500 words or more about a creative piece of work that has influenced their perspective on life.

Smartphone Overuse Awareness Scholarship

The annual Smartphone Overuse Awareness Scholarship awards $1,000 to one deserving student who demonstrates insight regarding our culture's - and their own - reliance on smartphones for social interaction, entertainment, distraction and more.

Mesriani Law Group Scholarship

Mesriani Law Group understands the rigorous process that young law students go through to achieve their dreams of becoming practicing attorneys, along with the financial burdens that come with it.  In an effort to help bring forth excellent young lawyers to the forefront, MLG is offering a scholarship  grant to determined and passionate future lawyers.   

DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship

Deadline: January 31, 2020

The DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship by Dolan Dobrinsky Rosenblum, LLP is a recurring scholarship worth $1,500 designed to help one law student with their tuition costs.
