From time to time, California Western receives information about various scholarships that are supported by foundations, nonprofit organizations, law firms and networking groups.  Please continue to return to this page as we continuously update the scholarship offers we learn about. 

When you search for alternative scholarship options there are existing tools and resources at your disposal.  The Law School Admissions Council has compiled a helpful list of Diversity Scholarships which provide exciting opportunities for prospective and current law students.

For the People Scholarship

Deadline: December 1, 2019

We want to inspire young lawyers to approach their careers with the same mindset. Our $5,000 For The People Scholarship will be awarded to an individual who is accepted or currently enrolled in law school and is driven to fight for those who need it most.

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated primarily on the quality of their answers, but also on their creativity.

Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers LLC Single Mother Scholarship

Deadline: December 5, 2019

Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers LLC believes in the empowerment of single mothers through education. Education has the power to open doors for single mothers and even their children. Having a degree or certification can enable a woman to expand her lifetime earning potential, increase her gross income, and provide her with better job opportunities. We want to expand opportunities for single mothers who are going back to school by offering two $1,000 scholarships (one awarded to a single mother in an undergraduate program or community college and one to a single mother enrolled in an accredited law school).

Smartphone Overuse Awareness Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2019

The annual Smartphone Overuse Awareness Scholarship awards $1,000 to one deserving student who demonstrates insight regarding our culture's - and their own - reliance on smartphones for social interaction, entertainment, distraction and more.

Reeves Law Group Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2019

We are asking students to tell us about their genuine desire and goal of using the legal system to fix problems or improve conditions in our society.  This scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $5000.

Mesriani Law Group Scholarship

Deadline: December 31, 2019

Mesriani Law Group understands the rigorous process that young law students go through to achieve their dreams of becoming practicing attorneys, along with the financial burdens that come with it.  In an effort to help bring forth excellent young lawyers to the forefront, MLG is offering a scholarship  grant to determined and passionate future lawyers.   

Insignia SEO Scholarship

Deadline: December 31, 2019

College isn’t cheap and we know that all the expenses tied into it can make things difficult. With an ongoing education there’s the increasing costs of tuition, books, materials, living and a lot more, so we want to help.

Insignia SEO will be offering an annual $1,000 College Scholarship to incoming or current college and university students. The money will be dispersed in 2 increments during the Winter & Spring semester of 2020. (January 7th, 2020 & April 6th, 2020) We are currently accepting applicants for this Winter / Spring 2020 Scholarship.

DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship

The DDR Lawyers Legal Scholarship by Dolan Dobrinsky Rosenblum, LLP is a recurring scholarship worth $1,500 designed to help one law student with their tuition costs.  

Danny Errico Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2020

The Danny Errico Academic Scholarship was created to give students who want to continue their education the opportunity to do so. Danny Errico created this $10,000 scholarship opportunity to lessen the burden of one student's tuition cost each year. Arash Law Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2020

When a student demonstrates that they are dedicated to becoming a professional in the field of law, they are devoting their lives to something they believe it. The choice to become an attorney at law is not the most affordable decision to make. That is why Arash Law is ready to help and encourage such choices by potential law students.

This $1000 scholarship is an offer for all current University students enrolled in law school or hoping to do so in the future. Ideally, the scholarship funds should be used to pay for qualified expenses such as tuition, books or on-campus room & board for the 2019 school year.

Taylor & Ring Annual Victim Advocate Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2020

This annual award is given to a student interested in pursuing the study of law with a specific goal of helping survivors of sexual assault, rape, child abuse, or sexual harassment in the workplace.  The successful candidate needs to be currently enrolled in, or will be enrolled in, an accredited college or university or law school for the upcoming academic year.  The scholarship can be paid directly to the student's college or law school at his or her request, if necessary.  

Harris Lowry Manton LLP Civil Justice Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2020

This award will be given to any incoming or current law student who is either currently enrolled, or who has accepted a place, in an accredited law school for the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year.  This annual scholarship will be awarded at the end of July, and can be paid directly to the school upon the winner's request.  

Adrian Altshuler's Annual "Just Need a Chance" Educational Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2020

As attorneys, we often are able to help give people the chance they need to take the next step in life.  That is why I have created the "Just Need a Chance" Scholarship. I would like to take that same concept and give one lucky student who believes they have a future in law, a chance at furthering their education.   This scholarship is valued at $2,500.

The Gainsberg Law Annual Scholarship Award

Deadline: June 1, 2020

It can take only one second for your life to change forever – something our clients know all too well. At Gainsberg Law, we fight for the futures of our clients, to help them regain what is lost, and to plan for their new lives ahead. We can offer this assistance because of the civil justice system, which allows people to seek redress when a wrong has been committed. To maintain that system, however, we need strong, passionate and dedicated lawyers who promise to uphold the law and protect the system.

We want to help those young lawyers pursue their dreams and protect the justice system. That is why we are proud to announce the Gainsberg Law Annual Scholarship Award. Every year, we will select a student who is, or will be, enrolled in an accredited university or college in the Fall semester of the upcoming academic year.

The Wagner & Wagner Annual Civil Justice Scholarship Award

Since 1945, Wagner & Wagner Attorneys at Law has helped to protect the rights of the injured. We take this role very seriously, because communities are always stronger when they work together. We believe that the legal community deserves our best and our brightest, to keep the civil justice system strong.

For this reason, we are proud to offer the Wagner & Wagner Annual Scholarship Award. Each year, we will award $2500 to an eligible law or pre-law student who is enrolled in, or has proof of upcoming enrollment in, an accredited college or university for the Fall semester. Upon the student’s request, the non-transferable award can be paid directly to the school.

Plattner Verderame Annual Civil Justice Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2020

That is why we are proud to announce the Plattner Verderame Civil Justice Scholarship. This annual award will be given to a student interested in any aspect of social or civil justice, who is currently enrolled in, or will be enrolled in, an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year. The scholarship can be paid directly to the student’s college at his or her request.

Cunningham & Mears Academic Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2020

Benjamin Franklin once said “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” At Cunningham & Mears, we know that to be true. We also know that for some students, pursuing an education can be a financial challenge. We want to help students achieve their goals by lightening their burden.

The Cunningham & Mears Academic Scholarship is an annual award of $2500, presented by the firm, to a student who wishes to pursue the study of History or Law. The successful candidate must be enrolled in, or have proof of upcoming enrollment in, an accredited college, university, or law school for the upcoming academic school year. The scholarship can be paid directly to the institution upon the request of the student.
