The California Western School of Law Alumni Association is led by a Board of Directors who oversee the strategic direction of the Association. The Board of Directors assist the Office of Alumni Engagement in our mission to foster and nurture meaningful, lifelong, mutually beneficial connections, and relationships. Membership into the Alumni Association is automatic upon graduation and offers the following benefits:

  • No annual dues
  • Volunteer leadership opportunities (Alumni Engagement Office, Career and Professional Development Office, and Admissions Office)
  • Invitations to social/networking events and programs
  • Online alumni newsletters
  • Regional Alumni Clubs in 14 different locations
  • Connecting alumni with others throughout the country
  • Continuing education courses offered (in-person and online)

In addition to the events and programs available in San Diego County, California Western has developed a strong community of alumni with its Regional Alumni Club Program.

The goal of the Association is to provide opportunities for engagement and involvement though a variety of channels such as programs, events, leadership, advocacy, mentoring and teaching opportunities, as well as offering resources, services, and ways to stay connected.

The Association fosters involvement and engagement through the following committees:

Continuing Education

  • Annual January MCLE program
  • Virtual Programs

Distinguished Alumni of the Year Awards

  • An honorary award ceremony dedicated to acknowledging and recognizing alumni for their outstanding service to the law school, community, and legal profession


  • Events in-person and online created to encourage building community among California Western alumni and students. Opportunities to grow and increase alumni/student participation and a robust networking community

Supporting the Law School

  • Efforts geared towards assisting the campus with fundraising efforts. In addition to the programs and activities listed above, the board partakes in additional outreach: Bar Associations (local and regional), campus focus groups, community events, mock interviews/career mentors, and Regional Alumni Club Events
