Downtown & Lemon Grove

CLP Downtown operates in conjunction with the Third Avenue Charitable Organization at the First Lutheran Church, 1420 Third Avenue in downtown San Diego. California Western students, staff, and attorney volunteers work with volunteers from different disciplines, including medicine and social work, to provide comprehensive assistance to community members in need.

Clinic Hours: Mondays from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (please arrive as early as possible to assure being seen that same evening)

CLP Lemon Grove operates at the Lemon Grove Academy for the Sciences and Humanities. At the Lemon Grove site, California Western students, staff, and attorney volunteers have the opportunity to assist low income clients from the Lemon Grove community with their legal needs.

Clinic Hours: one Friday per month from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - upcoming Fridays include November 14 and December 12

Law students who volunteer at the Downtown/Lemon Grove sites deepen their understanding of public interest work and debrief their live client experiences through a classroom component taught by CLP's Executive Director, Dana Sisitsky.

City Heights

(visit us on Facebook)

The City Heights CLP is a school-based service that offers free legal information and referrals to students and parents at our designated school sites.

CWSL students, volunteers, and staff work closely with the social workers at the schools to provide comprehensive assistance to community members.

The City Heights CLP also provides periodic workshops and presentations on topics of interest to City Heights residents. Frequently attorneys are available for personal consultation following the workshops and presentations. The Parent Centers at the schools host the clinics and workshops. Student interns work closely with the school social workers and counselors, who refer clients and assist them in making appointments.

Clinic Hours: Hoover High School (4474 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego) - Tuesdays from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Rosa Parks Elementary School (4510 Landis Street, San Diego) - Fridays from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
