Amy Vaughan-Thomas is the assistant director of academic support at California Western School of Law (CWSL).  Vaughan-Thomas has been in her current position since September 2016. She oversees all of the department’s large-group and small-group tutoring programs for first-year and upper-division students and teaches several sections of first-year Academic Skills and Analysis Program. Vaughan-Thomas is an alumna of CWSL and also taught in the school's programs as a student tutor, a bar program course administrator, and as an adjunct professor. 

Prior to working at CWSL, Vaughan-Thomas worked for a small civil litigation firm in San Diego, where she practiced in the areas of personal injury law, business litigation, and contract law. As a student at CWSL, she won the 2015 California Bar Environmental Law Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition and was the runner-up at the 2015 National Sports Law Negotiation Competition. In college, Vaughan-Thomas was also a team captain and four-year All-Big East Academic Award winner on the University of Connecticut’s NCAA Division I softball team.
