Iris was born and raised in Southern California. She received her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. After college, Iris immediately applied to law schools and received her JD from California Western School of Law in 2013. During her time at California Western, Iris focused first on public interest law with internships at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program and Senator Barbara Boxer’s Office. She finished her time in law school focusing on Estate Planning and Taxation. Now, in addition to her work at the Admissions Office, Iris practices estate planning part time.
As the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Outreach, Iris communicates mainly with students who have not yet applied to law school. She helps educate and inform students about the application process as well as the multitude of ways prospective students could advance their careers by attending California Western. Iris coordinates the Fall travel schedule in which she and her colleagues travel across the country to meet prospective students and share information about CWSL. She also coordinates student visits to the campus in San Diego both in individual and group settings. Iris also facilitates the virtual face of the admissions office online through our Facebook and Twitter pages, blog entries and webinar series.
