Professor Gudel came to law from a background in philosophy. After
earning degrees at the University of Chicago, he taught philosophy and
humanities for five years at the Illinois Institute of Technology, the
University of Chicago, and Ohio State University. After law school,
Gudel, practiced at the Chicago firm of Schiff Hardin & Waite, where
he specialized in labor and employment law, and general litigation.
