Three New Grants Enable CLP to Provide Legal Lifeline to Underserved Communities
California Western Community Law Project’s (CLP) Executive Director Dana Sisitsky, Supervising Attorney Ted Janowsky, and CLP Student Manager Shyam Patel work with students to provide much-needed legal services through Zoom clinics.

California Western Community Law Project (CLP) has recently been awarded three new grants that will enable the program to continue to serve the increasing legal needs of San Diego County low-income individuals, which the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated.

CIP Client Joann Parks Released After 29 Years of Wrongful Imprisonment

JoAnn Parks has become the 35th innocent client to be released by the California Innocence Project (CIP) after 29 years of wrongful incarceration. Parks was arrested and convicted in the tragic accidental fire that resulted in the death of her children. CIP, using modern fire science, developed a compelling case that the fire was the accidental result of faulty wiring.

New Media Rights Awarded Grant for the Web
