The Board of Trustees of California Western School of Law has elected two new members who bring significant business experience and community connections to the law school's governing body.
Jeffrey Isaacs '68
A graduate of California Western, Jeffrey Isaacs '68 is of counsel at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP and is among the leaders in his practice area, which includes bankruptcy and commercial litigation practice.
He has been recognized as Bankruptcy Court Mediation Panel Mediator of the Year as well as among the top lawyers in San Diego for bankruptcy and debtor/creditor rights. He is a past president of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program and the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, and served as treasurer and vice president of the San Diego County Bar Association and its Foundation. Prior to his election to the Board of Trustees, Isaacs served as a member of the law school’s Council of Visitors for many years.
Janine Sarti serves as chief legal officer for Palomar Health System and is immediate past president of the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Prior to her work with Palomar Health, she served as general counsel and chief legal counsel to several healthcare organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
She is a member of the executive committee of the California State Bar Public Law Section and was a founding member of the Oregon State Bar Corporate Counsel Section. Sarti has received numerous awards including the Tribute to Women in Industry and Women Who Mean Business awards. She holds a J.D. from Gonzaga University.
