Giving Tuesday Campaign Exceeds All Expectations
A group of students thanking all who donated during Giving Tuesday

California Western’s Giving Tuesday Campaign was a major success—exceeding everyone’s expectations—as the law school’s supporters kept giving, and giving, and giving. Because of the amazing support of our community, our Board of Trustees’ generous match, and a few surprise gifts from our Board, we raised a total of $147,004.

California Innocence Project Client Luis Vargas is Exonerated After 16 Years in Prison

The California Innocence Project at California Western School of Law has won another major victory in its ongoing mission to free the wrongfully convicted with the exoneration of Luis Vargas, who served 16 years in prison for a crime he did not commit.

California Western's New Lawyers Take Oath of Professional Conduct
Federal District Judge Anthony Battaglia administers the oath to Jonathan Canlobo, Lianlian Wu, Steven Aicher, Cynthia Rodriguez Rosales and Brett Gunther

Nearly 70 California Western School of Law graduates took the Oath of Professional conduct after passing the July California Bar Exam. They were also sworn-in to the California and federal bars.

California Western Rated Highly in Student Satisfaction Survey
LSSSE Survey Results

California Western’s students have an overwhelmingly high level of satisfaction with their law school, according to the 2015 Law Student Satisfaction Survey (LSSSE) done annually by Indiana University.

San Diego Councilwoman Marti Emerald Visits Community Law Project Free Clinic

San Diego City Councilmember Marti Emerald visited the Community Law Project legal clinic at Rosa Parks Elementary School in City Heights on November 20. Emerald wanted to see first-hand how the clinic provides free legal services to lower income and vulnerable individuals in the area.
