California Western 1 of 5 Law Schools in Nation to Exceed ABA Requirement for Experiential Education

In a recent vote, California Western faculty approved an expansion of the law school's curricular requirement for practical education to 15 units—1/6 of the 90 total units required to graduate—more than doubling the ABA's standard of six units. The new requirement will be implemented with the incoming fall 2016 class—but opportunities to fulfill the requirement have been in California Western’s curriculum for decades. Learn More

San Diego City Councilmember Marti Emerald visited the Community Law Project legal clinic at Rosa Parks Elementary School in City Heights on November 20. Emerald wanted to see first-hand how the clinic provides free legal services to lower income and vulnerable individuals in the area.
