After graduation, the Career and Professional Development Office remains your best resource for job listings, career fairs, bar exam preparation, and more—serving as a conduit to law firms, public interest organizations, government agencies, and corporations that have a longstanding tradition of hiring California Western’s profession-ready alumni.

While many graduates choose to stay in Southern California, the office receives job listings from firms and agencies throughout the country, many of which come from our impressive network of alumni residing in all 50 states and 11 foreign countries.

Our graduate career advisors work with alumni on an individual basis to discuss career options and develop job-search plans. In addition, graduate career advisors are available for résumé/cover letter review, mock interviews, alumni outreach, and other job-related resources to assist you as needed.

We strongly recommend that you take advantage of individual counseling sessions, which may be done in person or over the phone. We believe that your efforts to secure a job begin as a law student, and provide several seminars per semester targeting 3L students—each of which focus on the necessary steps you must take to secure employment. In addition, we have prepared an Alumni Guide to provide you with tools to confidently begin your post-graduation job search, whether this is your first job after graduation or your fifth.
