Tonya Butler ’97 Named Music Business Educator of the Year

Alumna Tonya Butler ’97 has been named Music Business Educator of the Year by the Music Business Association, receiving the honor at the organization’s annual Bizzy Awards during the Music Biz 2026 conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Butler, chair of the Music Business/Management Department at Berklee College of Music, was recognized for her outstanding contributions to music business education and her commitment to preparing the next generation of industry professionals. 

A respected entertainment attorney, record label executive, and educator, Butler brings decades of industry and academic experience to her leadership role.
