California Western offers financial aid award packages tailored to your individual needs, so that you can focus on what matters most—your legal education. Our team will guide you through the options available, including scholarships, student loans, and student employment, so that you can make an informed decision.

We know figuring out how to pay for law school is a concern for students. Our staff is here to help you from the start to tailor an aid package to your financial situation.

Types of aid
Scholarships and Grants
Financial aid that does not have to be repaid (unless, for example, you withdraw from
school and owe a refund)
Loans
Money borrowed for college or career school. You must repay your loans, with interest.
Work-Study
A program where you work for a certain number of hours to earn money to help you pay
for school.
Veteran Benefits
Additional Financial Aid may be available to veterans, future military personnel,
active-duty personnel, or those related to veterans or active-duty personnel.

Apply for federal financial aid
To be considered for financial aid you must first submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. You will want to keep in mind key deadlines and gather all your documentation to complete the form, so you can get the best financial aid package possible.

Financial aid can include a number of options including private and public loans, grants, scholarships, work-study and more. You may be eligible for several scholarships based on academic merit, work experience, cultural background, and other criteria.
Financial Aid Office
