Professor William Aceves Receives Roberto Alvarez Award from American Constitution Society

California Western School of Law Chief Justice Roger Traynor Professor of Law William Aceves was honored with the Roberto Alvarez Award by the American Constitution Society's (ACS) San Diego Lawyer Chapter at its 2026 Annual Dinner and Awards. 

The Roberto Alvarez Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate an enduring commitment to promoting equality, justice, and the rule of law. Professor Aceves was selected in recognition of his longstanding dedication to those principles through his scholarship, teaching, and service. 

Celebrating the award presentation were faculty, staff, alumni and students amongst members of the legal community including Dean Miriam Baer. The event also featured remarks from Hon. Jodi Cleesattle and ACS President Phil Brest. 

Congratulations to Professor Aceves on this well-deserved recognition.
