California Western Students Madison Mills and Jacquelyn Guh Visit U.S. Department of Justice

A highlight of the summer for California Western School of Law rising 3Ls Madison Mills and Jacquelyn Guh was a recent visit to the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., hosted by California Western alumnus Colin McDonald ’12. 

McDonald, the first Assistant Attorney General for the U.S. Department of Justice's National Fraud Enforcement Division, welcomed the group for a conversation about his career, dedication to public service, and the Department of Justice’s work. During the discussion, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insight into careers in government and public service. Following the discussion, McDonald arranged a behind-the-scenes tour of the Department. 

Attendees also had the opportunity to view remarkable historical legal materials, including original United States Supreme Court documents with attached exhibits, English common law books dating back to the 1500s, and other rare legal artifacts reflecting the history and development of the American legal system.
