
Financial Aid Important Dates
Although California Western School of Law offers rolling admissions, students planning to apply for financial aid should keep the following deadlines in mind.
Fall / Spring Semesters
October 1
The 2026–2027 FAFSA application cycle opens. Students may begin completing the FAFSA
for financial aid consideration for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027.
April 2
Submit your 2026-2027 FAFSA to the federal processor by this date.
Exception: Students admitted for Fall 2026 after March 19, 2026 must submit their
FAFSA within two weeks of their admission date, or it will be considered late.
Mid-July
Financial aid files must be complete, meaning all aid has been accepted or declined
and all requested documents have been received and processed by the Financial Aid
Office.
Late August
Fall semester financial aid is disbursed to student billing accounts. If a credit
balance occurs (loan amounts exceed institutional charges), the Student Accounts Office
will release excess funds 1-2 business days prior to the first day of classes.
Mid-December
Financial aid files must be complete, meaning all aid has been accepted or declined

Spring semester financial aid is disbursed to student billing accounts. If a credit

Summer Semester

Financial aid files must be complete for the Summer semester, meaning all aid has

Summer semester financial aid is disbursed to student billing accounts. If a credit
balance occurs (loan amounts exceed institutional charges), the Student Accounts Office
will release excess funds 1-2 business days prior to the first day of classes.
Note: Summer Study Abroad students will not receive aid until shortly before the start
of their program.
